Call for Applications for Appointment as Guesthouse Manager - Engineering Guesthouse (EGH)
Job Description
The Management of the College of Engineering is looking for an experienced customer-focused Guesthouse Manager, with exceptional leadership qualities, driven by a passion for excellent people management. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Guesthouse aimed at planning activities and assigning responsibilities to ensure efficiency and achieve results.
The Guesthouse Manager is expected to enhance customer dedication and expand our clientele by strengthening our reputation in areas such as:
- Facility management
- Accommodation and room inventory management
- Excellent delivery of catering services
- Engaging staff to demonstrate excellent professional services to customers
- Managing budgets and finances to optimise profit
Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or any other relevant field
- Must have an extensive understanding and knowledge of Guesthouse and Hospitality Management
- Must have at least 3 years of working experience in or similar roles in the hospitality industry
- Must be proficient in English, and knowledge of any foreign language would be an advantage
- Must be IT compliant
- Must have outstanding interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Must have strong analytical and administrative skills and be able to market the online presence of the Guesthouse.
- Must have exceptional leadership qualities with great attention to detail
