Continuing Professional Development Course in Sustainable Reverse Logistics in the Digital Age

The Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain - Africa (CARISCA), in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is organising a two-day Continuing Professional Development workshop in Sustainable Reverse Logistics in the Digital Age.

Why Participate in this Training Workshop

Businesses are embracing technology to enhance operations in the digital age. Reverse logistics, driven by sustainability demands and regulations, has grown in complexity and significance. Global companies recognize the value of sustainable practices in reverse logistics, but balancing economic and environmental/social goals is a major challenge.

Objective of the Training Workshop

This training workshop aims to equip participants with knowledge and strategies in sustainable reverse logistics. It will help them overcome challenges and leverage opportunities to integrate sustainability into their organisation’s reverse logistics, yielding environmental, social, and economic benefits in the digital age. The workshop combines theory, real-world cases, and hands-on activities to provide attendees with a comprehensive toolkit for fostering sustainable practices in their reverse logistics operations.

What Participants will Learn

By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired the skills to build a business case for sustainable reverse logistics, evaluate the environmental, economic, and social benefits of sustainability integration, address industry-specific challenges, learn from successful strategies used by businesses, utilise relevant technological tools, develop actionable plans for their organisations, and design performance metrics for their supply chain’s reverse logistics activities.

Session 2

  • Reverse supply chain management
  • Inventory management for returned products
  • Transportation and logistics for reverse flows
  • Handling and disposition of returned products
  • Product returns management: processes, policies, and best practices

DAY 2: Strategies and Tools for Effective Reverse Logistics

Session 1

  • Developing a reverse logistics strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Integration of technology in sustainable reverse logistics operations
  • Collaborative partnerships and supplier relationships in reverse logistics
  • E-commerce and Returns Management

Session 2

  • Reverse logistics performance metrics and measurement

Training Cost

Your investment for the in-person two-day workshop is GH¢2500.00 per person. This investment will cover your fees, training materials, a buffet lunch, two snack breaks each day, and a certificate of participation.

The cost to attend virtually via Zoom is GH¢1500.00 per person. Training materials and a certificate of participation will be provided electronically.

The cost to attend via Zoom for international participants (Non-Ghanaian) is USD150.00 per person. Training materials and a certificate of participation will be provided electronically.
