Deputy Internal Auditor

The Position

The Deputy Internal Auditor is responsible to the Internal Auditor of the University.

The Person

• Must have served as Senior Internal Auditor in a University or equivalent grade in an analogous institution for a minimum of five (5) years;

• Must be a Chartered Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor (ICA, ACCA or CIA);

• A postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or any relevant field; and

• Must not be less than forty (40) years.

Experience

• Must have had extensive experience in Auditing

• Good knowledge in Auditing techniques

• Must be conversant with the Public Procurement Act (Act 663), the Internal Audit Agency Act (Act 658) and the Financial Administration Act (Act 654) among others

• Ability to take initiative and exercise good judgement

• Must have good communication, report writing and presentation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office would be an advantage
