The School of Medical Sciences (SMS) and the School of Dentistry (SoD) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) wish to inform all prospective applicants that the Entrance Examination and Interview for admission into the BSc. Human Biology (Medicine) and BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry) programmes are scheduled as follows:

Examination Format

Applicants will write 100 multiple-choice questions covering:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Mathematics
• Verbal/Quantitative Reasoning

Eligible Applicants

1. A-Level Applicants

• Aggregate 08 or better
• Required subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Paper

2. International Baccalaureate (IB) Applicants
3. WASSCE Applicants – BSc. Human Biology (Medicine)

• Aggregate 8 or better

4. WASSCE Applicants – BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry)

• Aggregate 12 or better

Aggregate Calculation (WASSCE):

• 3 Core Subjects (English, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics)
• 3 Elective Subjects (Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics or Elective Mathematics)

• Two (2) HB Pencils
• Two (2) Pens
• One (1) Eraser
• One (1) Scientific Calculator
• National ID (e.g., Ghana Card)
• Two (2) Passport-Sized Photographs

Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed in the exam hall and interview areas:

• Mobile Phones
• Wristwatches

Any breach of this directive will result in automatic disqualification.
