Admission of Candidates to BSc. and Diploma Top-Up Programmes in Nursing, Midwifery, Emergency Nursing and Community Health Nursing for the 2019/2020 Academic Year
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Nursing.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into BSc. and Diploma Top-up programmes at the Department of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, KNUST.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- BSc. Programmes
- Emergency Nursing
- General Nursing
Holders of Diploma in Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience.
- Midwifery
Holders of the Diploma in Midwifery with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience.
- Community Health Nursing
Holders of the Diploma in Community Health Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience.
- Diploma Top-up Programmes
Applicants who meet the University’s minimum requirement of Six (6) credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science with a Minimum of Three (3) years working experience.
OR
Applicants must obtain a pass in the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL), KNUST Access Programme, with a Minimum of Three (3) years working experience.
In addition to these, applicants must satisfy the following specific requirement in the various Programmes as follows;
- GENERAL NURSING
- MUST be Health Assistant Clinical (HAC) certificate holder
- COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING
- MUST be a Community Health Nurse (CHN) certificate holder
- MIDWIFERY
- MUST be a Post EN/CHN/HAC Midwifery Certificate holder
- MUST be a straight Midwifery Certificate holder
MODE OF APPLICATION
- Applicants must purchase an e-Voucher at the Ghana Post Company Ltd
- The e-Voucher contains Login ID or an application ID, and PIN that will grant access to the online admission portal.
- Candidates should then proceed to the online admissions website at; apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions and begin the application process.
- Once the process has been completed, candidates must print out Two (2) copies of the completed online application form, and submit them to the Deputy Registrar Academic Affairs, KNUST together with all relevant documents (Photocopies of Certificates and transcripts)
Application fee: GH¢ 200.00
Deadline for the submission of application forms is Friday 14th December, 2018
