Admission of Candidates into Bachelor of Science Programmes in Nursing, Midwifery, Emergency Nursing and Public Health Nursing for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into BSc. Programmes at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.

Entry Requirements for BSc.  Regular Programmes

BSc. Emergency Nursing

Holders of Diploma in Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of working experience and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such applicants will also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes for Diploma holders.

  • This programme is for two (2) years

BSc. Nursing

Holders of Diploma in Nursing with a good pass and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such applicants will also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes for Diploma holders.

  • Successful applicants will join the regular programme in third (3rd) year

BSc. Midwifery

Holders of the Diploma in Midwifery with a good pass and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such applicants will also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes for Diploma holders.

  • Successful applicants will join the regular programme in third (3rd) year

Entry Requirements for BSc. Sandwich Programmes

BSc. Midwifery (Sandwich Programme for Diploma Holders) - Two (2) Years

Applicants must be holders of a Diploma in Midwifery duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such applicants will also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes.

BSc. Public Health Nursing (Sandwich Programme for Diploma Holders) - Two (2) Years

Applicants must be Diploma holders in Public Health Nursing or Community Health Nursing and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other recognized nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such applicants must satisfy the University’s General Requirements for admission to degree programmes for diploma holders.

BSc. Nursing (Sandwich Programme for Diploma Holders) - Two (2) Years

Applicants must be holders of the Registered General Nursing Diploma, duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana or any other recognized nursing and midwifery regulatory body. Such candidates will also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes for Diploma holders.

Mode of Application

  1. Applicants must purchase an e-Voucher at designated offices of Ghana Post Company Ltd for GH¢ 250.00.
  2. The e-Voucher code can also be purchased through the USSD Code *447*160# on all mobile telecommunication networks.
  3. The e-Voucher contains Login ID or an Application ID, and PIN that will grant access to the online admission portal.
  4. Applicants should then proceed to the online admissions website (HERE!) and begin the application process.
  5. Applicants must scan and attach all relevant and mandatory documents to the application online as follows: Academic and Professional Certificates, WASSCE Certificates/Results Slips, and/or KNUST Access Results.
  6. After the application has been submitted online, applicants are advised to print out a copy for their own use/reference.
  7. APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT A HARD COPY OF THE APPLICATION.
  8. Deadline for the submission of Application Forms is June 15, 2024
