Call for Applications for KNUST Bursary for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

KNUST Bursary offers a one-year Bursary to Brilliant but Needy Students to enable them to pursue their University Education in KNUST.

Eligibility

The Bursary is opened to ONLY Regular Ghanaian students who are Brilliant but Needy and are pursuing full time programmes.

  1. Final year students are not eligible.
  2. Fee-paying and Parallel students are not eligible to apply.
  3. Continuing students on any other scholarship/bursary above GHȻ 1,500.00 are not eligible.
  4. Only students with a CWA of 67 or above are eligible to apply.
  5. For first-year students, only those with an aggregate of 9 or better may apply. Please note that your first-semester results will be considered before you are awarded.
  6. Fee-paying and Parallel students as well as students who do not meet the WASSCE and CWA cut off are eligible to apply for SRC-KBN Bursary only.
  7. Students who have already applied for SRC-KBN Bursary are not eligible to apply.

Requirements

All prospective applicants are to include the following documents in their applications:

  • Complete Application Form (Signed and Officially Stamped by a Referee)
  • Evidence of Student Loan Application (Continuing Students Only) – Attach a copy of your student loan agreement document. Applications submitted without this will require proof of ability to pay outstanding fees before the final award.
  • Statement of need
  • Admission letter
  • Results Slip (For continuing students)
  • WASSCE Results (First Years Only)
  • Awards and Certificates if any (Photocopies only)

All applicants must complete the online registration before submitting their application via: (HERE!)

Please Note

  • All documents must be in a sealed envelope with the Applicant’s name, programme, college, reference number, current year and phone number boldly written on it.
  • Applications submitted without completing the online registration will be disqualified
  • Submission of documents should be done at the Directorate of Student Affairs, J. Harper Building, Room 19
  • Any write-up should be typed with the font Times New Roman, size 12 and double-spaced.
  • No Application will be accepted after the deadline. 
  • Applicants from Obuasi campus should submit their application forms at the Registrar’s Office-Obuasi campus.

All prospective applicants are entreated to apply and submit their applications before the start of the first semester examinations

Application Deadline

Applicants are to submit their applications on or before Friday, 17th April, 2026.
