The College of Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is inviting you to its first International Conference on Engineering, Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship ( ESTE 2015) . Please find below the full details of our invitation.

Introduction

Even though Africa is the continent with the highest growth rate, it faces similar serious human and economic development challenges. These challenges are complex and inter-related often affecting different facets of human life at the same time. The solution requires a new approach involving multi-disciplinary collaboration addressing the issues from a new perspective.

The College of Engineering of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), on behalf of the University is creating this common platform to allow engineering, science, technology and entrepreneurship to present and discuss their research findings and to formulate a common approach to addressing some of the challenges. The college of engineering therefore, is presenting this first International Conference on Engineering Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.

The theme of the conference is “Promoting Creativity and Innovation through Engineering, Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship for development”. The Conference will bring together more than 500 researchers in all fields of engineering, science and technology as well as entrepreneurs from Ghana, and from the diaspora. The College is pleased to invite you to participate in its call for Abstract and Poster Presentation.

The Conference seeks to

  1. Provide a forum for engineers, scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs to present and discuss their work on a common platform
  2. Provide the opportunity for researchers from different disciplines to network and form research teams to address integrated challenges facing Ghana and the continent of Africa.
  3. Provide opportunity for technologies developed in Ghana to be exhibited
