The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) invites applications from qualified persons for appointment as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Research Fellows and Research Fellows at the Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD).

Qualification and Experience

1. PROFESSOR

For appointment to the grade of Professor, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise as stated above from a recognised University and must have served as Associate Professor or analogous grade in a recognised institution for a minimum of THREE years. Applicants must have a minimum of fifteen (15) publications in high-impact journals.

2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

For appointment to the grade of Associate Professor, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise as stated above from a recognised University and must have served as Senior Research Fellow or analogous grade in a recognised institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of twelve (12) publications in high-impact journals.

3. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW

For appointment to the grade of Senior Research Fellow, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise as stated above from a recognised University and must have served as Research Fellow or analogous grade in a recognised institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of eight (8) publications in high-impact journals.

4. RESEARCH FELLOW

For appointment to the grade of Research Fellow, applicants must have a PhD in the area of expertise as stated above from a recognised University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research or other experience relevant to this position.
