The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) announces for the information of the University Community and the general public that the position of ESTATE OFFICER will become vacant on NOVEMBER 01, 2025. The University invites applications from qualified persons for appointment as Estate Officer.

The Position

The Estate Officer is responsible for the maintenance of facilities and essential services of the University.  The duties of the Estate Officer shall include the supervision of the following; University Bungalows, Roads, Installations, Utilities and Equipment. In the performance of these responsibilities, the Estate Officer shall liaise with appropriate University Consultants and other Officers of the University.

Qualification and Experience

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Land Economy, Real Estate, Architecture, Construction Technology and Management or any relevant field of study; and,
• Must have served as Senior Assistant Estate Officer in a University or an equivalent grade in analogous institution for a minimum of FIVE years OR Ten (10) years post-qualification experience in industry or public service.

The Person

The person must:

• be dynamic, self-motivated, and competent with proven ability;
• be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
• have the ability to exercise sound judgement;
• exhibit high sense of initiative, managerial and organisational skills;
• be a distinguished professional with the capacity to motivate and direct staff;
• be a certified Member of a relevant Professional Body; and,
• be digitally literate.

Terms of Appointment

• The Appointment shall be on tenure basis.
