As part of KNUST’s 70th Anniversary celebrations, a book titled: 70 YEARS OF GLOBAL IMPACT: Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (1951-2021) will be launched to mark the University’s achievements throughout its 70 years of existence. Using photography and text, the book gives a general overview of the performance of the University over the period as an institution with a special emphasis on its impact at national and global levels.

The book captures some of the University’s alumni trailblazers, where they are and what they are doing across the globe. It also features the major changes that have occurred in the University over the years in respect of the following:

• Institutional changes
• Academic Life
• Social Life.
• Campus Landscape

In addition, the book is intended to serve as a photo gallery of how the University has transitioned from its humble beginnings to its present status.

Entries are invited for a suitable cover design for the above-named book.

Submission: The designs must reach the Publication Sub-Committee by Tuesday, 30th September, 2021 through knust70anniversarybook@gmail.com.

• Orientation: Landscape
• Spine: 45mm
• Design: Open. Pictures, shapes, and objects could be used but must be credited.
• Type of Binding: Sewn and case bound with matte laminated cover.
• Bleeds: 10mm
• Resolution: 300dpi
• Software: Open to any design software. If Design and Illustrator are used the file must be packaged with links. All fonts must be converted to curves when CorelDraw is used.
• Saved Format: Portable Document Format (PDF)

Note: Only the best 5 designs would be invited to do presentation of the design to the Committee.

The winner of this book cover design contest will be credited in the book and at the book launch.
