The stage is set for the 6th edition of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz (JSMQ), organised by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
This year’s contest expands its reach to cover eight regions across the country, reflecting the growing popularity and impact of the competition.
The Board Chair of the quiz competition Prof Kwasi Preko expressed excitement about this year’s edition, describing it as one that promises to be both engaging and inspiring.
He emphasised the importance of nurturing young scientific minds, calling on institutions and organisations to support the initiative.
“The JSMQ is about sparking interest in science at an early age and shaping the next generation of scientists. With the right support, we can create a culture where young students embrace innovation and problem-solving,” he said.
Last year, KNUST Junior High School (J.H.S) emerged champions of the 2024 edition, earning bragging rights. As anticipation builds for the 2025 contest, one question lingers: who will rise to the occasion this year and take home the crown?
The 2025 JSMQ promises an exciting showcase of talent, intellect, and the future of science in Ghana.
