Ing. Prof. Kwabena Britwum Nyarko, Provost of the College of Engineering has been appointed as a member of the Governing Board of the Engineering Council of Ghana.
The appointment, made by the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, reaffirms Prof. Nyarko’s long-standing contributions to engineering education, research, and national development.
In addition to this national recognition, Prof. Nyarko has been reaffirmed as the Provost of the College of Engineering.
As Provost, he has championed excellence in engineering education, led strategic research initiatives, and fostered industry-academia partnerships to address Ghana’s developmental challenges.
Prof. Nyarko joins a nine-member Engineering Council Board chaired by Ing. Dr. Sitsofe David Addo, and comprising eminent professionals such as Ing. Samuel Magnus Asiedu, Engr. Prof. Mike Agbesi Acheampong, Ing. Michael Dompreh-Ampofo, Engr. Eric Atta Sono, Ing. Ebenezer Kwesi Haizel, Esq., Anthony Osei, and Ing. Isaac Bedu (Registrar of the Council).
The Council serves as the regulatory authority for engineering practice in Ghana, tasked with registering practitioners, accrediting academic programmes, and enforcing ethical standards to safeguard public safety and uphold professional excellence.
