A team from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been crowned champions of the "Pendown Challenge 2025," a debate competition organized by the Ghana Engineering Students Association General Secretary's Office in collaboration with the KNUST Debate Club.
Preliminary rounds, held from March 11–13, featured six teams from across the college, with four teams advancing to the highly anticipated semifinals. The grand finale centered on the motion: "Wakanda should open up to the world."
Drawing inspiration from the fictional nation of Wakanda, the motion challenged participants to debate the ethical responsibilities associated with advanced technological development and dissemination. The debate explored themes such as ethical responsibility, technology transfer, global collaboration, risk management, and sustainable development.
