The Asokwa Area of the Church of Pentecost under the leadership of Prophet James Osei Amaniampong has donated food items worth Seventy-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢75,000.00) to support the welfare needs of his members as well as the KNUST Food Bank on Saturday, 25th June 2022 at the PENSA KNUST Building site at Ayeduase. The items donated included 80 bags of rice, 20 packs of sardine, 20 boxes of mackerel, 30 packs of 1-litre oil, 30 boxes of tomato paste, and 30 boxes of milk, among others.
Presenting the items, the Asokwa Area Head, Prophet Osei Amaniampong disclosed that the donation formed part of his leadership’s decision to visit the PENSA KNUST and seize the opportunity to extend brotherly love to needy students. "We cherish you and appreciate your efforts and seriousness. We have followed your performances as a church, and we are proud of you. We will continue to pray with you for success in all your disciplines", he added. He indicated that a quarter of the food items would be donated to support the KNUST Food Bank.
