Members of the newly elected Council of Convocation have been sworn into office by the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor. The short ceremony was attended by the Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng; the Finance Officer, Mr. Yaw Nimo Baffour and the outgoing Members of Council of Convocation.
The 10-member Council of Convocation chaired by Dr. Richard Kodzo Avuglah, has Mr. Richard Bruce Lamptey, Dr. Eric Tutu Tchao, Dr. Samuel Asamoah Sakyi, Dr. Jacob K. Agbenorhevi, Dr. Seth Agyemang, Dr. Clement Osei Akoto, Dr. Mrs. Faustina Dufie Wireko-Manu, Mr. Kofi Adu as members and Mr. Festus Nyame as the Clerk of Convocation.
The Chairman of the new Council of Convocation, Dr. Richard Kodzo Avuglah, thanked the University Management for their continuous support to convocation. He pledged on behalf of his members to continually work with management to safeguard the interest and welfare of its members.
Mr. Reuben Glover, the outgoing Chairman of the Council urged the new members to embrace transparency, team play and collegiality to accomplish their set goals.
Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson thanked the outgoing Members of Convocation for the remarkable work done during their tenure of office. Professor Dickson further stated that the opinions of Council are paramount in the administration of the University, hence promised management’s commitment to work jointly with them.
