Yussif Suleman has been elected President of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. His victory came after successful elections held on campus Friday and Saturday.
Suleman secured the presidency with 1,332 votes, representing 54.35% of the total votes cast. His opponents were Musah Damba Iddrisu Abu, who garnered 799 votes, and Wisdom Benedictus Adevu, who received 330 votes.
Yussif Suleman will lead the association for the 2025/2026 academic year. He will be supported by Vice President-elect Kwaku Asante Ahmed.
Joining the executive team is Thelma Tawiah, elected as General Secretary, who is expected to steer the administrative affairs of GRASAG. Samuel Oduro Donkor was elected Organiser, while Emmanuel Oduro Frimpong will serve as Financial Secretary.
Completing the executive lineup is Edith Asare, who was elected as Gender Commissioner.
