The Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Ghana (WiSTEM Gh) in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR). The donation forms part of WiSTEM’s objective to inspire the next generation of young scientists and also support KCCR in their fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President of WiSTEM, Professor (Mrs.) Ibok Oduro, presenting the money, said the donation is to appreciate the good work of KCCR staff, especially the young scientists in the fight against COVID-19.
The Director of KCCR, Professor Richard Odame Philips who received the donation, thanked WiSTEM for their support. He promised the Centre’s commitment to fighting the pandemic.
Also present at the presentation were some members of WiSTEMGh including Professor Atinuke Olusola Adebanji, Dr. Linda Ofori, Dr. Augustina Angelina Sylverken, Dr. Linda Debrah, Dr. Linda Bedu-Addo, Mrs. Lorraine Sallah.
