The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, has welcomed the leadership of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church.

The delegation was led by Pastor Dr. Samuel Antwi Mensah, President of the South-Central Ghana Conference of the SDA Church.
Pastor Dr. Antwi Mensah stated that the visit was to express appreciation to University Management for their continuous support to staff and students who are members of the SDA Church.
As a token of appreciation, the SDA leadership donated a selection of books to the University. He also conveyed the Church’s desire to collaborate further with the University, including plans to establish a worship Centre on campus.
Professor (Mrs.) Dickson expressed delight at the proposed initiatives, noting that they align with the University’s current efforts, particularly the construction of a Student Chaplaincy Centre.
She appealed to the church to partner with KNUST in completing the Chaplaincy project and to assist with other student support initiatives being spearheaded by the Directorate of Student Affairs.
“We call on the Church to provide support towards the SONSOL Project, as well as the Food, Clothing, and Hygiene Essential Kit Banks, to help meet the needs of our students in vulnerable circumstances,” she urged.
Pastor Dr. Antwi Mensah also pledged the Church’s support for the Vice-Chancellor’s ongoing development projects.
