The Technology Consultancy Centre (TCC) of the College of Engineering has held an official meeting, in the quest to fulfill its collaborative vision following a memorandum of understanding signed between KNUST and Ibis-Tek Limited under a public-private partnership agreement. The objective of the meeting was to devise strategies towards the implementation of KNUST Technology Park, which is expected to become Ghana's first state-of-the-art technology park in the Ejisu-Juaben municipality of Ashanti Region.
Addressing the gathering, the Provost of the College of Engineering, Professor S.I.K. Ampadu, stressed that effective human resource machinery is key to industrial technology. He further explained that the trend in technology requires effective human resources. "Science and engineering are the key requisites of innovation" he noted.
Professor Ampadu suggested to the leadership of TCC to evaluate the Centre's strengths in order to facilitate the implementation of its major projects.

Giving an account to the background of the project, Dr. Obeng underscored the importance of KNUST Technology Park as a stimulus for infrastructural development. He was hopeful that the function would provide the best platform for the leadership of TCC to propose pragmatic recommendations, and laudable steps for accelerated growth.
Among other officers of TCC who gave presentations were: Rev. Dr. Victor Quagraine, the Head of Architectural Design; Dr. Peggy Oti-Boateng, the Head of Technology and Innovation services; and Mr. Ralph Nyadu-Addo, the Officer in-charge of KNUST Centre for Business Development.
