The TCC International Centre for Innovation, Manufacturing, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (TCC-CIMET), in partnership with the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) and the Centre for Capacity Development and Manufacturing (CECADAM), is set to provide Industrial visits to Stuttgart, Germany.
The industrial visit program is designed to equip Ghanaian professionals with practical insights into how Quality Management Systems (QMS) is implemented globally in various industrial sectors, while tailoring lessons to local operational realities.
In a conversation with Quality Auditor, Mrs. Matilda Marful, highlighted the value of for industrial benchmarking in leading institutions abroad.
"The upcoming industrial visit to Germany presents a unique opportunity for institutions to gain firsthand insights into the strategies, systems, and best practices that enable top-ranking institutions to consistently maintain their positions of excellence,” she said.
She further stressed the importance of contextualizing quality management practices.
“One important thing about learning is adaptation. Too often, people attend trainings and return with frameworks tailored for the European and American Standards. That is why such industrial visits are important; they allow us to put the system in context, helping organizations position themselves to compete globally,” she explained.
President of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, Ing. Ludwig Hesse, also added “that industrial visits will not only expose participants to global standards of excellence but also enhance the capacity of organizations to deliver quality in their operations and services, foster innovation, and align with international benchmarks that drive sustainable growth and competitiveness.”
The Director-General of TCC-CIMET, Prof. Francis Davis, stated that industrial trips align with the vision of the Centre and its partners to strengthen capacity building and advance excellence in service delivery.
“This industrial visit initiative reflects the commitment of TCC-CIMET, GhIE and CECADEM to build the capacity of Ghanaian professionals and industries. By combining global best practices with local realities, the program aims to strengthen organizational performance, boost competitiveness, and enhance international recognition,” he said.
The 10-day program is scheduled in two batches: one from 19 - 26 October 2025 and another from 09 - 16 November 2025.
