The Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Professor (Mrs) Rita Akosua Dickson on 20th January 2023 inaugurated the Nyansapo Eco Resort Management Board at the Council Chamber.
Nyansapo Eco Resort is a sustainable eco-friendly resort located at the beautiful coastal line of Moree, Central Region of Ghana. It offers guests an eco-friendly and sustainable experience, promoting conservation and respect for the environment. It features amenities such as composting sanitary facilities, solar power, and buildings made up of natural materials.
The Nyansapo Eco Resort Management Board chaired by Professor Joshua Ayarkwa has Dr. Dickson Osei-Asibey Esq., Dr. (Mrs) Matilda Kokui Owusu-Bio, Professor Matthew Glover Addo, Manager, Nyansapo Eco Resort, Mrs. Ruby Owusu-Ansah, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah-Asuama and Mr. Andrew Kwasi Boateng (Registrar) as members.
The Board is to oversee the Management and business operations of the Nyansapo Eco Resort, develop and implement advertising, marketing, promotion, publicity, and other similar programmes for the facility, oversee the administrative structures of the facility, and recommend the appointment of staff for the Resort.
According to Professor (Mrs.) Dickson, KNUST is always focused on executing tasks to get the desired results, serving humanity, and impacting lives. She praised the Operationalisation Committee that started the Nyansapo Eco Resort for their contributions and urged the present Committee to continue the excellent work to make significant changes.
The Chair, Professor Joshua Ayarkwa in his acceptance speech thanked the Management of the University for reposing confidence in them and selecting them as the Management Board. He hoped that the opportunity given to them would be translated into positive gains. 'I am optimistic that with the support of Management, this Committee would dutifully discharge our terms of reference.'
