Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has presented a cheque of Ten Thousand United States dollars (US$10,000) to the GRASAG President, Mr. Felix Adusei on 10th April 2024. The donation was in fulfilment of the promise he made to support the GRASAG Research Fund (GReF) during its launch.
The primary objective of the Graduate Research Enhancement Fund (GReF) is to bolster research endeavours among graduate students. Anchored within the GRASAG Research Fund are two pivotal initiatives: the GRASAG Research Support Hub and the GRASAG Research Support Grant. This initiative not only aims to provide financial support but also provides mentorship and technical guidance to applicants.

Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, endorsing the initiative, underscored his appreciation for the concept of establishing a fund to support research activities of graduate students. He further highlighted the alignment of this initiative with the mission of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as a research-driven institution. Professor Owusu-Dabo expressed his hope for implementing effective strategies geared towards garnering increased donations from industry stakeholders and esteemed alumni.

The President of GRASAG-KNUST, Mr. Felix Kofi Adusei conveyed gratitude to the Pro Vice-Chancellor for his invaluable contribution towards the establishment of the GReF. He extended an appeal to other organisations, independent entities, and alumni to consider contributing to the Fund, emphasising its significance in advancing research pursuits among graduate students.
