The Tek LUMBA Jam, part of the 2025 Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Alumni Homecoming celebrations, is lighting up the Brunei Sports Complex with music, nostalgia, and vibrant campus energy.

Kwame Saarah-Mensah, a proud alumnus and former Council Chair, fondly recalled the golden days at KNUST when students were served more than three square meals a day and offered jobs immediately upon graduation.
He bemoaned the country’s regression in certain areas, noting that “at some point, we retrogressed as a nation.”
Despite these challenges, he passionately urged current alumni to rally behind the university’s development and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s progress.
The night so far has been filled with nostalgia and celebration. Hackman Owusu‑Agyemang, a distinguished KNUST alumnus and former minister, is also in attendance. Attendees are enjoying free Indomie servings and writing heartfelt tributes to Daddy Lumba, whose timeless music continues to provide the soundtrack to countless student memories. The energy remains high, and the festivities are expected to carry on until dawn.
The festivities will conclude on Sunday, 3rd August 2025, with a Thanksgiving Service at the Royal Parade Grounds.
