Peellnnova Limited Company, a student-founded startup from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has emerged as one of the top winners at the GreenTech Innovation Challenge 2025 (GTIC), receiving ₵100,000 in support of its groundbreaking innovation.
The company is transforming fruit waste and wood residues into eco-friendly mosquito-repelling products, a solution that not only combats malaria and other vector-borne diseases but also reduces waste pollution and promotes a circular economy.

Representing KNUST and Ghana, Peellnnova also showcased its innovation on the global stage at the SDG Olympiad 2025 in Geneva, where the team joined student innovators from across the world to pitch solutions addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
