As part of its social responsibility activities to the University Community, Latex Foam Ghana Limited has donated some assorted products in support of the Vice-Chancellor's initiative aimed at organising special Awards & Dinner Dance for staff of the University.  

The Awards & Dinner Dance would be held at the Great Hall on Friday, 15th July, 2011 at 7:00pm. The objective of the forthcoming ceremony is to acknowledge and appreciate some deserving staff for their immense contribution towards the achievements of the vision and mission of the University, and national development as a whole.

At a brief ceremony, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Latex Foam Ghana Limited, Miss Gloria Poku, presented some of its products estimated at GH¢2,000, including king-size mattress, queen-size mattress, heart pillows, among others, to management of the University. The items were cheerfully received by Professor R. C. Abaidoo, Provost of College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.

Also present at the presentation ceremony were; Dr. Kwasi Opoku Amankwaa, Chairman, Awards Planning Committee; Mr. Matthew Okrah, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Vice-Chancellor's Office; Mr. Paul Kwadwo Addo, Secretary, Awards Planning Committee; and Miss Lesley Asmah, Member, Awards Planning Committee.

In a related development, some reputable companies have also donated in cash and kind to support the programme. They include; Christo Asafo, Prof Quarm Publication Ltd, Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd, Donyma Steel Complex, Anita Hotel, Sambus Company, Vanguard Life, Everpure, and Wiafe Furniture.
