The Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson has led a delegation of university officials to the Manhyia Palace to participate in the one-week observance of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The solemn occasion, steeped in tradition and reverence, drew dignitaries from across the country, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor, royals, and members of the Asanteman Council.

The KNUST delegation comprised members of the University Council, Provosts, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments.

Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the fourteenth Asantehemaa and elder sister of KNUST Chancellor Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, passed away earlier this month. Her reign, which began in 2017, was marked by advocacy for maternal health, promotion of breastfeeding, and support for hospitals across the Ashanti Region.
The one-week observance featured traditional rites, drumming, and the display of royal regalia, underscoring the cultural richness of Asanteman.
