Final-year students of the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) are showcasing their solo exhibitions, presenting a wide range of creative works that draw from Ghanaian life, culture, and identity.
Among the highlights is a series of vibrant trotro-inspired paintings that transform the familiar minibuses of Ghana’s transport system into striking cultural symbols. The works capture the vehicles’ rear views, slogans, stickers, and designs, reflecting the dynamism of urban life while celebrating everyday Ghanaian creativity.
This and many other pieces are on display as part of the department’s final-year solo exhibitions.
