KNUST Basic School has donated to Life Community Special Vocational School, Deduako and King Jesus Charity Home, Boadi. A delegation comprising staff and students paid the visit to the children and officials of both homes to support their Christmas celebrations. The items donated included bags of rice, boxes of indomie, soft drinks, biscuits, water, T-rolls and others valued at thousands of Ghana Cedis.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Eric Oti Attah, Headmaster of KNUST Junior High School, said the act of charity is annually made to orphanage homes and other disadvantaged institutions to put smiles on their faces. The items he revealed were realised from the contributions of pupils, teachers and parents of the school.
The Headmaster of the Life Community Special Vocational School, Mr. Joseph S. Mwini expressed his gratitude to the KNUST Basic Schools and hoped they would continue to support them. The Basic School Band provided music as they feted and interacted with children in the home.
At King Jesus Orphanage Home, the Director of the Home, Rev. Kofi Owusu Afriyie, receiving the gifts on behalf of the kids, appreciated KNUST Basic School for their kind gesture, and promised to use the items to cater for the needs of the children.
