Professor Emmanuel Glakpe, a Ghanaian Professor and a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Howard University in Washington D.C has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor.The purpose of the call was to help diversify and develop a Masters programme at the College of Engineering, KNUST.
Prof. Glakpe said Howard University is a partner for engineering education and are in partnership with about fifty universities worldwide who help students to build their skills and in their research work. He pledged his assistance in the area of research and the revision and development of new curricula for KNUST.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof.K.K. Adarkwa noted that such collaborations are essential in keeping up and maintaining global standards in education. Prof. Adarkwa further stated that it is a good chance for KNUST and other African Universities to learn from their western counterparts and hoped for a fruitful collaboration.
