Commonwealth Scholars Fellows and Alumni Association of Ghana (CoSFAG) on Tuesday, 29th September 2020, honoured the Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, as a Scholar, Fellow and Patron of their association.
Presenting a citation in honour of the Vice Chancellor, the former President of CoSFAG, Dr. Jacob K. Agbenorhevi, pointed out that her appointment is a historic one as she is the first female to ascend the position of Vice Chancellor. He, therefore, on behalf of the association congratulated her on her appointment.
Professor Dickson receiving a citation and a CoSFAG branded T-shirt, thanked the association for the honour done to her. She promised to continue to give off her best and impact lives, and also assured the members of CoSFAG that she will give back to the society what Commonwealth scholarship has invested in her.
The National President of CoSFAG, Dr. John Boulard Forkuor informed the Vice-Chancellor that the association would organize workshops and engage the 2020/21 Teaching Assistants on the Commonwealth Scholarship programmes with its related opportunities.
Also present were Professor Aboagye Menyeh (Patron), Professor (Mrs.) Frances Owusu-Daako (Patron), Professor (Mrs.) Sylvana Rudith King (Patron), Dr. Albert Arhin (General Secretary), Mr. Augustus Sobeng (Executive Member), Dr. (Mrs.) Antoinette Simpah Anim-Jnr (Kumasi Branch President), Mr. Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu (Member) and Ms. Felicia Amankwah.
CosFAG is a network of Ghanaian Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni that aim to collaborate and contribute ideas and resources toward economic development in Ghana through youth empowerment, community development and education. CoSFAG is made up of persons who have completed degrees or training in any United Kingdom University or institution under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) and registered with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) Global alumni network.
