We note with pride and admiration your appointment to the high office of Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana. You joined the fraternity of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) in October 2005 from the Calvary Methodist Church (Accra) following your appointment as the Protestant Chaplain of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
You provided valuable services to the students and staff of the KNUST during your tenure as Protestant Chaplain. You played a very vital role in the spiritual formation and guidance to our students. We remember how vividly you used the scripture in 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” to admonish our students to be wary of charlatans and false prophets. Such was your guiding nature.
Your role as Chaplain was a challenging assignment, yet you were able to continue to offer your services to the Methodist Church leading to your appointment as the Administrative Bishop of the Church in 2016. You served as a probationer for the Methodist Church and as a Part-Time Lecturer at the Department of Religious Studies at the KNUST. This shows your potential and willingness to provide service to academia and the church. It therefore came as no surprise to us when we heard of your appointment as the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana.
We have no doubt that you glittered in the big crowd of possible and potential candidates for the position of Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church. Your selfless and dedicated service in the Ministry could not have eluded the search party for this all-important position in the Methodist Church Ghana. This achievement is indeed no mean feat, and we pray that the almighty God would guide you to leave an indelible mark in the annals of the Methodist Church. GAUA is very proud of you for a position well deserved. Accept our heartfelt congratulations for your elevation to the pinnacle of your calling.
