The 2001-year group of the Land Economy Department of the College of Art and Built Environment, KNUST, has donated a cheque of GH₵35,000 to the Department. Mr. David Opoku, Judicial Service, Ghana, Mrs. Regina Rockson, an administrator at Stool Lands and Dawood Abbas of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) made the donation on behalf of the class. The donation was to help the facelift of Land economy classroom.
The Provost of the College of Art and Built Environment, Professor John Tia Bugri, said that the presentation was historic since it was the first time a year group had shown their profound gratitude to their department. He entreated the alumni to emulate the act and give back to their department and society in future.
Also present at the short event, were Professor Samuel Amos-Abanyie, Dean of Faculty of Built Environment, Dr. Frank Gyamfi Yeboah, Head of Department, Dr. Eric P. Tudzi and Dr. Joseph K. Kidido of Land Economy and Mrs. Kate Acquah, the College accountant.
