The 1982 Year Group of the University Primary of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has donated 100 sets of tables and chairs at a total cost of Twenty-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵25,000) to its alma mater.
Mr. Benjamin Brayie Edusei, Miss Rita Nti and Mr. Isaac Osafo-Adu donated the furniture on behalf of the year group.
Mr. Edusei in a brief address, said that the donation was geared towards giving back to the school that helped in shaping the lives of the old students. He was hopeful that the items donated would provide comfort for the pupils as they strive to learn to shape their future too. He also assured management of their continued support to the school.
Dr. Mrs. Felicity Asiedu-Appiah, the Chairperson of the Basic Schools Management Board, applauded them for their kind gesture and humbly requested for their assistance in furnishing a multi-purpose and state-of-the-art facility for the pre-school to aid teaching and learning.
Also present at the presentation ceremony were Rev. Mrs. Irene Nkansah, Head of KNUST Basic Schools, some management and staff of the school.
