The health of a community is dependent not only on the genetics of its residents but also relies greatly on the environment. As such, residents of a community should have access to quality education, safe and healthy homes, quality health care, among others.
The project dubbed ‘Xenobiotic Substances and Heavy Metals in the Environment - A Threat to Health, Ecosystems, and Development (SHEATHE), a collaborative effort between the Department of Chemistry of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Arhus University, Denmark has held its closing workshop to disseminate findings of the project with key stakeholders.
