Professor Peter Donkor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, has established an award scheme for the best student in Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences. News of the establishment of the award was contained in a letter signed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor to the Dean, Dental School, KNUST. 

As stated in the letter, Prof. Peter Donkor and his family decided to institute the award in furtherance of his desire to see to the development of the Dental School as well as enhance the training of students in Dentistry.

The award  consists a cash of five thousand Ghana Cedis to be invested and the yearly accruing interest given to the best student in Maxillofacial Sciences.
