An alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi ( KNUST) has been named Best Health Show Host of the Year at the 2026 Spotlight Ghana Awards, recognising his work in public health education through radio.
Mr. Williams Kwasi Djorkah, a part-time health tutor at Premier Nurse Training College in Kumasi and host of Health Corner on Aben 103.3 FM, received the honour for his role in advancing community health awareness.
The awards scheme celebrates individuals contributing to national development across sectors.
His programme focuses on preventive health education, covering non-communicable diseases, mental health, substance abuse, reproductive health and nutrition, while also organising outreach screenings in underserved communities.
Mr. Djorkah holds a Master of Public Health from KNUST and a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Cape Coast. His work centres on improving health literacy, particularly among young people and vulnerable populations.
