Professor Christian Agyare, Provost of the College of Health Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), Kumasi has been awarded the Academic Pharmacist of the Year at the maiden Pharma Excellence Awards organized by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH).
The award recognizes his contributions to pharmaceutical education, biomedical research, health policy, and mentorship over the past two decades.
Prof. Agyare is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Natural Products at the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, 14 books and book chapters, and has accumulated more than 4,300 academic citations, ranking him among the top researchers at KNUST and in Ghana.
The Pharma Excellence Awards were instituted to honour outstanding achievements in Ghana’s pharmaceutical sector.
