Scholars of the Fondazione Edu have donated food items valued at Seven thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 7,000.00) to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi Food Bank in a bid to support students ahead of end-of-semester examinations.
The donation, which included 50 bags of rice, cartons of mackerel, 50 boxes of cooking oil, sugar, and non-dairy products, was presented during a brief ceremony at the forecourt of the J. Harper Building.
The items donated included 50 bags of rice, boxes of mackerel, 50 cartons of oil, sugar, and non-dairy products.

Presenting the items, David Sibiri, President of the Fondazione Edu Scholars, revealed that the gesture forms part of their mandate to give back to the community from which they benefit.
“This year, as scholars, we decided to support the KNUST Food Bank with these items to help our fellow students who are in need,” he said.

Professor Samuel Amos-Abanyie, Deputy Director in charge of Housing and Welfare, received the items on behalf of the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA).
“We extend our appreciation for thinking about your colleagues,” he said. “I find it very intriguing that out of the support you are receiving, you chose to save some for others. This will help ensure students are in the right frame of mind to write their exams.”
