Fresh students of the KNUST Obuasi Campus have been urged to approach university life with resilience and confidence, as the campus formally welcomed them at its 2025/2026 academic year orientation programme.
Addressing the freshers, the Dean of the Obuasi Campus, Prof. Lawrence Darkwah, acknowledged that the transition to university life can be overwhelming, particularly for first-year students.
He assured them that KNUST has established strong academic and welfare support systems to guide students through challenges and help them succeed both during their studies and beyond.
The orientation programme introduced students to essential academic guidelines, campus policies, and practical information required to navigate academic work and social life on campus.
Sessions covered academic expectations, student support services, and key regulations, providing students with a clear understanding of what is required of them as members of the KNUST community.
Members of campus management and heads of key units also engaged the students, introducing their offices and outlining the range of academic, administrative, welfare, and student-life services available.
The presentations highlighted structures put in place to support learning, personal development, and overall student wellbeing.
