KNUST Food Festival 2026
Royal Parade Ground, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will host the Food Festival 2026 under the theme, “Our Heritage on the Plate: Indigenous Foods for a Hunger-Free Future.” The festival celebrates Ghana’s rich culinary heritage while promoting indigenous foods as sustainable solutions for food security and nutrition. The event will bring together students, staff, food vendors, innovators and the wider community for a vibrant showcase of culture, cuisine and creativity. Activities will include food stands for display and tasting, a food bazaar with sales starting from 10:00 AM, assorted meat and kebab offerings at the Meat Joint, food-related innovations from KNUST and beyond, student competitions, and performances featuring drama and dance. The festival aims to highlight the role of indigenous foods in building resilient food systems and fostering a hunger-free future.
