The Admissions Office of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has held an outreach session with students and staff of Mankesim Senior High School in Ghana’s Central Region, offering guidance on the university’s admissions process and academic programme combinations.
Charles Asamoah-Boateng, Deputy Registrar at the KNUST Admissions Office, outlined entry requirements, application procedures, deadlines, and key considerations for programme selection. He also addressed common concerns about cut-off points, competitive courses, and aligning academic choices with career aspirations.
“We believe in empowering students with accurate information so they can make informed choices about their future,” he said.
Asamoah-Boateng reaffirmed KNUST’s commitment to inclusivity, encouraging students to aspire to higher education regardless of their school background.
“KNUST does not discriminate against students. We accept applications and admit students from all categories of senior high schools in Ghana,” he said.
Teachers at Mankesim SHS welcomed the engagement and called for sustained collaboration between tertiary institutions and second-cycle schools.
