CABOT-S, in collaboration with DoSA-KNUST, University Health Services, and the KATH Blood Bank, will host the Grand Sickle Cell Symposium under the theme: “Sickle Cell Disease: The Science, Responsibility and the Future We Can Prevent.”

The symposium seeks to promote early genotype awareness and encourage responsible decision-making among young people. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about sickle cell disease, understand the importance of knowing their genotype, and appreciate how informed choices can help prevent needless pain in the future.

The event will also feature a voluntary blood donation exercise as part of efforts to support healthcare delivery and save lives.
