The KNUST College of Engineering has held an examination durbar for academic and administrative staff to reinforce academic integrity and streamline assessment processes ahead of the mid-semester examinations.
The session, organised by the College Examination Office, aimed to brief lecturers and support staff on examination procedures and expectations to ensure uniformity across departments.

Dr. Paul Kwadwo Addo, College Registrar, said the durbar was convened to foster a synchronised understanding of examination protocols among invigilators and facilitators.
“The primary objective is to ensure that we all have the same understanding of the procedures so that the examination process is seamless and fair to all students,” he said.

Representing the Provost, Prof. Emmanuel Asuming Frimpong, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, underscored the shared responsibility of staff in safeguarding the credibility of the examinations.
“Let us ensure that we are vigilant during the examination so students don’t cheat,” he stated, urging staff to be fully prepared to oversee a smooth and incident-free process.
The College Examination Officers, Dr. (Mrs.) Mizpah Ama Dziedzorm Rockson and Dr. Frank Ofori Agyemang, led an interactive question-and-answer session to address practical concerns.
They clarified recurring issues, including approved calculator types, procedures for students without identification cards, and enforcement of regulations on mobile phone use in examination halls.
The durbar forms part of the College’s efforts to uphold high standards of academic excellence and integrity in its assessment systems.
