The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Basic School has emerged overall champion at the just-ended 8th University Basic School Association (UBaSSA) Games, winning an impressive 9 out of 13 trophies at the competition.
The games, which brought together basic schools from universities across the country, showcased the talents of young athletes in soccer, athletics, and other sporting disciplines.
KNUST excelled in multiple categories, with its Junior High School (JHS) boys and girls placing first in athletics, while the Primary division also secured first place in athletics.
The school further demonstrated its dominance on the field when the KNUST JHS girls’ team won the soccer competition, and both the Primary boys’ and girls’ teams also clinched top spots in soccer.
In addition, KNUST Primary boys triumphed in table tennis, adding another trophy to the school’s haul.
