The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has held an ecumenical and communion service Ahead of mid semester examinations.
The event under the theme “Who Has the Final Say”, offered a timely blend of spiritual upliftment, practical guidance, and renewed assurance of student welfare.
The service organised by the Students’ Chaplaincy Council drew inspiration from John 11:1–15 and John 11:38–44, with powerful drama and song ministrations at the Royal Parade Grounds.

Campus Pastor for PENSA-KNUST, Pastor Jonathan Ebo-Quaye, urged students to remain steadfast in their faith despite life’s uncertainties.
“You may be going through difficult patches, but God still loves you. Don’t give up on life, there are better days ahead. The Lord will surely come through for you,” he encouraged. “When you take shortcuts, your life may end short. Study and do your part; God will do the rest.”
The communion session was led prayerfully by the Protestant Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Joseph W. Acheampong, as students reflected on their spiritual journeys.

Director of Student Affairs, Professor Marian Asantewah Nkansah, addressed students on key issues ahead of the mid-semester exams, which begin on Monday.
She emphasized the importance of following laid-down examination rules and prioritizing health and wellness.
“Eat well and rest adequately so you can have a good mind for the exams,” she said. “Take care of your belongings, and watch out for your friends. Read and follow the security tips that will be shared. Let’s all respect each other’s space.”
She also assured students of management’s full support throughout the upcoming Student Week celebrations, describing it as an opportunity to make meaningful memories beyond the classroom.

Vice President of the Student Representative Council (SRC), Mr. Samuel Afful, unveiled measures being rolled out to strengthen campus security throughout the examination period.
“The security services are ready and prepared. Transport has an escort team in place, and those behind the CCTV are watching,” he said.
“We are also working on a security response app that will allow students to reach the patrol team instantly. It will be launched soon. Help will reach you faster, and visibility will be stronger.”
Mr. Afful also revealed that plans are advanced for the procurement of motorbikes to boost campus patrols, stating, “There shall be no loss.”
