In commemorating the 20-year anniversary of completing studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a five-member team of the 2002-year group of the Faculty of Social Sciences has paid a courtesy call on the Dean, Professor Sr. Eugenia Amporfu on Thursday, 21st April, 2022. The visit was to officially announce their anniversary and discuss how best they could support the Faculty.

Prof. Sr. Amporfu appreciated the team for their kind thoughts for the Faculty. She indicated that the Faculty seeks to create an IT room to encourage research among undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Dean, therefore, solicited a donation of computers for the IT room and academic staff, as well as projectors for the various classrooms. She also announced that the faculty intends to create a Hall of Fame at the entrance of the faculty, hence the team could support the project.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, a Senior Lecturer at Koforidua Technical University, Mr. James Yaw Osei-Owusu promised on behalf of the team to contribute their widow’s mite to support their alma mata.
Other members of the delegation included the Director of the Centre for Cultural Studies, Professor George Bob Milliar; the Head of the Department of Geography and Rural Development, Professor Prince Osei-Owusu Adjei; the Senior Assistant Registrar of the Welfare Office, Mr. Charles Arthur, and a Senior Lecturer from Sunyani Technical University, Mr. Kwabena Agyei.
