The University Relations Office (URO) has presented three (3) finely intricate wooden frames bearing inscriptions of well-wishes, New Year and goodwill messages to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor William O. Ellis in his office.
In a formal presentation, the out-going Acting Deputy Registrar in-charge of the Relations Office, Mr. Solomon Panford, disclosed that the compiled messages were gathered from staff and students of KNUST, and the University's strategic partners including banks, the Regional Commands of the Ghana Armed Forces and the Police Service; Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG); Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL); Ashanti Coordinating Council; Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly; Ghana Telecom and many more.
In a response, Professor William O. Ellis who was overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture lauded the Relations Office for undertaking an innovative and impeccable initiative. He also expressed gratitude to the staff, students and the University's esteemed strategic partners for the goodwill messages, and hoped to get in touch with all in due course.
The presentation also marks the final duty of the University Relations Officer, Mr. Solomon Panford, who has been reassigned to continue his service to the University as College Registrar, at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Also present were: Professor Peter Donkor, the Pro Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Kwame Saarah-Mensah, University Council Member; Mr. M.K. Okrah, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Vice-Chancellor's Office and staff from the University Relations Office.
