The Selection Committee of the Special Excellence Awards Scheme visited the family of the late Mr. Kobby Yebo-Okrah to seek their endorsement for the initiative.
The visit provided an opportunity to brief the family on the scheme's objectives and obtain their approval for the university to proceed with its implementation.

Mr. Solomon Panford, Chairman of the Selection Committee and former Deputy Registrar, stated that the visit followed an earlier letter sent to the family. He also informed them of the award's official launch, scheduled for early April 2025.
Registrar, Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, established the Special Excellence Awards Scheme for staff of the Registrar’s Offices to motivate creativity and dedicated service to the university.
The awards are named in honour of Mr. Kobby Yebo-Okrah (Creativity and Innovation) and two other past Registrars: Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II (Leadership) and Sophia Quashie-Sam (Service).
The inaugural awards ceremony is scheduled for June 13, 2025.
Mr. Alex Amoah thanked Registrar Andrews Kwasi Boateng for his innovative leadership and contributions to the university’s management and administrative structure.
