Miss. Rita Adwoa Abodoh, a 4th-year Medical Student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has received financial support from the Medical Students Association (MSA), School of Medical and Dentistry Lecturers/Staff, College of Health Sciences Students, 5 for Rita Project, Reverend Adoley and Adelaide Araba Siaw Agyapong.
The benefactors donated a sum of sixty-three thousand, seven hundred and thirty-three Ghana cedis. (GH63,733.00) to pay for her outstanding medical bills.
Miss. Rita Adwoa Abodoh was diagnosed with a malignant tumour which required an estimated cost of 150,000 Euros to undergo a corrective surgery.
Mr. Phillip Kobina Abodoh, the father of Rita Adwoah Abodoh thanked the initial donors for their contribution which according to him, enabled his daughter to undergo a successful surgery. He expressed appreciation to the donors and assured them that the beneficiary would return to continue her studies when she fully recovers.
The Provost of College of Health Sciences (CoHS) Professor Christian Agyare was optimistic that Miss Abodoh would get well and join her colleagues in school.
